Why we support it

The Money Health Collective is pioneering a transformation in how people understand and relate to money, not just as a financial tool, but as a deeply personal force that shapes our lives, relationships, and sense of possibility.

Money sits at the intersection of our deepest struggles: it fuels anxiety in our homes, drives inequality in our communities, and creates barriers between who we are and who we want to become. Yet when individuals gain clarity about their financial psychology and develop genuine agency over their economic lives, something profound shifts.

This isn't just about budgeting better—it's about breaking generational cycles of financial trauma and building a pathway out of poverty, one empowered individual at a time. When people understand why they make the money decisions they do, they can finally make different decisions—decisions aligned with their values, their goals, and their vision for a secure future.

Root Cause of the Problem:

Financial stress shapes many aspects of people’s lives, yet most financial education focuses on external behaviors rather than internal beliefs and emotions. Deep-seated narratives around money—formed through culture, family, and experience—often go unexamined, leaving individuals stuck in cycles of anxiety, avoidance, or shame. Without space to understand the emotional dimensions of money, financial insecurity persists even when information is available.
